Servant Camp 2020!

We are looking at a different camp for 2020. God has much in store for us!

Here is our plan for the campers: We will have Servant Camp day camps in the Rockford, Servant, and South Bend branches of People of Praise. We will be following the COVID-19 guidelines from the CDC and the respective states. Links are below.

Most activities will be held outdoors.
There will be room for campers to be 6 ft. apart and still have a great time.
Unit Heads, counselors and junior staff will be assigned for each unit or group of campers depending on the number of campers in each grade.
If rain is in the forecast for a day, we will cancel camp for the day and use Friday as the alternative.
Otherwise, camp will run Monday-Thursday, August 3rd-6th.
Each branch's camp activities and times will be slightly different. Your local leader will email campers/families with the necessary information of times, locations, and other important information.

If you have any questions, please respond to any communications you receive from your local Servant Camp leader after you have registered. Depending on your location, you should expect to hear from these Servant Camp leaders:

We will be charging $30 per camper which will include a t-shirt, ribbon, craft supplies, snack, and prayer booklet.

There will be an additional charge for those going on a high ropes course.

1st - 7th-Grade units will have at least 2 days of Day Camp each 3 hours long, either in the morning or the afternoon. Scheduling will depend on the number of registrants.

6th graders will have a 3rd day of camp for a local bike ride.
We are working on having 7th graders attend a local high ropes course for a 3rd day of camp. As different venues open up, we learn of more opportunities for activities. We will send an email to 7th grade parents with that information when available.

The Day Camp activities include (but are not limited to) Hand Arts, Outdoor Skills, Godtimes, Field Games, Unit Time and Campcraft.

8th - 12th Grade units will have 3 nights of Embers. Tentatively Monday-Wednesday, from 7:30-9:00. Embers will be in small groups to discuss the camp scripture and the 30-day prayer challenge book. Campers will receive the prayer book to start on Monday, August 3rd.

For those with Instagram accounts, we will have a camp account that will share spiritual insight into the meditation of the day from the prayer book or the camp scripture, highlights of counselors and campers, showcase theme lunches, different craft ideas, and other really cool things.

We are also offering a DIY Camp Resource link for those affected by COVID-19 concerns and are not able to physically participate, or those that live in an area other than Rockford, Minnesota or South Bend.
