Medical Information:

Masks are required on buses and vans unless you have a written exemption (please email a copy to Pat Ficker). Masks are also required in the Dining Hall at Camp Phillippo except for while eating.

Remember to bring a water bottle, sunscreen, and bug repellent, and to wear socks and shoes!

Consider putting a rain jacket and a dry pair of socks in your child's backpack.

Also:

  1. If your child has any allergies for which s/he has an Epi-pen, be sure to put it in your child’s backpack every morning.
  2. If your child sometimes has asthma flares when outside playing, be sure his/her albuterol inhaler is in their backpack.
  3. If your child has asthma, be sure to give any prescribed controller inhalers in the morning before camp, even if they seem fine at home, so they don’t get short of breath during camp.
  4. If your child sometimes needs allergy meds in the summer, we recommend giving one to your child (such as cetirizine (Zyrtec) or loratadine (Claritin)) before camp each day. (This is especially important with Covid, as otherwise we would worry that an unimmunized child with congestion might be starting to get Covid.)
  5. Please do not send your child to camp if s/he is sick in the morning. If your child has an illness at camp, we will ask you to pick them up, and a negative Covid test will be required before they can return to camp.
  6. This year, we are planning that kids needing medications will get them at home in the morning before camp and evening when they get back from camp, but if there are any meds that really need to be given during the day let us know. Contact avarevice@gmail.com.
  7. We will have over-the-counter meds (ibuprofen, tylenol, benadryl, cetirizine) we can administer but will try to contact you first so that meds are coordinated between home and camp.
  8. Older children (10th grade and up) who get bad headaches or cramps, and usually self-administer tylenol or ibuprofen at home, can carry this with them in their backpack.

Please refer to our contact information of our directors and health staff if you have additional questions.

Pray for Servant Camp and memorize the scripture!

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
